Can the sellers cut off utilities before we get our final walkthrough?

We're supposed to close on our new home in Cary next month.
The sellers say that they will cut utilities off when they move out before Christmas.
I'm afraid water pipes will freeze and break and make a mess.

Can we make them leave the electric and heat on until closing?

I think your sale contract says they will leave all utilities on through closing.
